Welcome to Athlone’s newest tourist attraction…The River Run.
Departing from the quayside beside Athlone Castle, the one hour cruise sails north towards Lough Ree and takes in some of the most beautiful unspoiled scenery in Ireland. Discover the natuural unspoilt beauty and wild life as you travel along the River Shannon. Travel back through time as you hear about the history of the Shannon and Lough Ree and even some of the old folklore of the area.
River Run is ideal for day trips, corporate events, hen parties, family celebrations and wedding parties. The pleasure cruiser has been fully refurbished to the hightest standard of safety and comfort. It has a capacity of up to 60 passengers and is full wheelchair accessible. River Run has a fully licensed bar on board serving a full range of beverages by dedicated and fully trained staff. A range of catering options are also available for private parties.
From the minute you come through the doors you will notice the luxurious carpet and seating on board. Your comfort is of the utmost importance to us and the relaxing ambiance on board will guarantee you just that. The windows all round the cruiser are tinted, allowing parnoramic views of the Shannon. The cabin is fully enclosed and is heated so the unpredicatable Irish weather will not spoil your trip!
